Information Processing
Fillify is offered as two products — a Chrome extension for filling web forms, and an Excel add-in for editing spreadsheets with AI — and how your data is handled depends on which mode you use within each. In Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) mode, available in both products, your API key is stored locally in the product's own browser storage and your content is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose. We do not see, collect, or store it. The Excel add-in also offers an optional Built-in AI mode, described in the Excel Add-in section below, where signed-in requests are relayed through our backend instead.
Excel Add-in
What the add-in can access
The add-in only reads from or writes to the Excel workbook you have it open in, and only when you ask it to act — it does not run in the background or scan other open workbooks. It never reads files elsewhere on your device.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) mode
Your API key is stored in the add-in's local storage, scoped to the add-in itself (separate from the Chrome extension's storage). The relevant worksheet content and your instructions are sent directly from the add-in to the AI provider you configured. We do not see, collect, or store this content.
Built-in AI mode
If you choose to sign in to a Fillify account instead of using your own API key, your requests are processed by our backend rather than sent directly to an AI provider from your browser. When you sign in and send a message in this mode, we process: the email address (or Google account) you sign in with; the text of your request and the relevant worksheet content needed to carry it out; and your account's credit balance, which is deducted to meter usage. This data is used to generate a response and is not sold or used for purposes unrelated to operating the service.
Signing in
Sign-in uses a one-time passcode sent to the email address you provide, or Google Sign-In — we do not ask for or store a separate Fillify password. Authentication is handled by Supabase; see their Privacy Policy for how they process sign-in data on our behalf.
Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary for the operation of our service:
- Basic usage statistics (number of forms filled, success rates)
- Error reports (when you choose to send them)
- Extension installation and update events
- Payment transaction information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details)
- If you sign in to a Fillify account in the Excel add-in's Built-in AI mode: the email or Google account you signed in with, your requests and the relevant worksheet content for that request, and your account's credit balance
Third-Party Services
AI Provider Interactions
When you use Fillify in Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) mode, your content is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured — OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, DeepSeek, Google Gemini, Moonshot AI, OpenRouter, Zhipu AI, MiniMax, or a locally-run Ollama server. These interactions are governed by the respective provider's privacy policy, and we do not have access to them or your API keys. In the Excel add-in's Built-in AI mode, your request is instead relayed through our backend, which calls an AI provider on your behalf — see the Excel Add-in section above.
Payment Processing
We use Stripe to process payments. When you make a purchase, Stripe collects and processes your payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
Data Security
We implement several security measures to protect your data:
- Local storage encryption for sensitive data
- Secure HTTPS connections for any server communication
- Regular security audits and updates
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your locally stored data
- Delete your data from local storage
- Opt-out of any data collection
- Request information about your data
